For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.
1 Timothy 6:10 is a verse that most of the world knows because it has been repeated so many times but they usually forget to put the love of money in and just use money as the root of all evil.
I asked a guy I know how much money he needs and his reply was just a little bit more. I also heard a man say once "money is like saltwater... the more you drink the thirstier you get." I must say I do get a little thirsty sometimes too for a little more pocket change myself.
Read down the scripture a little further and it pretty well sums it up.
6.
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7.
For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.
8.
But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.
9.
People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction.
10.
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
I added a new song to the player done by the O jays back in the 70's. Check it out.

That's the theme song to The Apprentice. Always thought it had a catchy melody but your post prompted me to take a look at the lyrics - makes perfect sense!
