Ghetto Defined

People often ask about the title of my Blog. My answer is man’s sinful nature has turned His garden into a ghetto and we’re on a crash collision course with our destiny.

My Own Prison Revealed

A prison is a place of forcible restraint or confinement. A place used to control behavior. Punishment for the unruly law breakers. It can consist of torture or some consider it as total torture. Others also consider their wrong doing justified no matter what and any wrong doing back to them is torture.
Any way the fact is were all held in our own prison to some degree. Well your probably saying what do you mean? I'm saying for example your a smoker and you can't quit smoking. Somehow something is holding you in bondage. Is it because your weak and don't have the strength to quit on your own? Or is it that something you can't see is holding your own strength back from quiting. The same example can be used in any circumstance, jealously, lust, sexual addictions, alcohol, ect. ect. You get the jest of things.
What I'm saying here is any time you let any wrong behavior control you your in some form of bondage held in your own prison. And the more you let these wrong doings control you the longer your sentence will be. None of us down here are free of any prison sentence during our trial of life. In fact it is our time we spend in our own prison that were supposed to learn from our wrongdoing. Then upon our release we can go back to contributing to society in a Godly manner.
The apostle Paul had so many prison experiences that he called himself a "prisoner of the Lord" When Paul and Silas were cast into the Roman prison at Philippi they were miraculously freed when they started to praise God. The reason is because they refused to submit to the enemy in return they were set free and the same example can be used today in the way we live our lives.
John 8:34 and on says this.
Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.
Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever.
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

So my friends bondage is a prison sentence.

Meekness

Some see meekness as a form of weakness but in fact it has nothing to do with weakness at all. Weakness is due to negative circumstances, such as lack of strength or lack of courage. But meekness is due to a person's conscious choice. It is strength and courage under control, coupled by kindness. An attitude of humility toward God and gentleness toward people and recognizing that God is in control.
This is a word that you don't hear much anymore and yet a lot of people out there don't even know what it means. So here you have it and now you'll now be able to practice meekness where ever your journey may bring you.
And in the end my friend " Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth"

Weathered

I lie awake on a long dark night
I can't seem to tame my mind
Slings and arrows are killin' me inside
Maybe I can't accept the life that's mine
No, maybe I can't accept the life that's mine
Simple livin' is my desperate cry
Been tradin' love with indifference
An', yeah, it suits me just fine
I try to hold on but I'm calloused to the bone
Maybe that's why I feel alone, yeah
Maybe that's why I feel so alone
'Cause me, I'm rusted and weathered
Barely holdin' together
I'm covered with skin that peels
And it just won't heal
I am rusted and weathered
Barely holdin' together
I'm covered with skin that peels
And it just won't heal
No, it just won't heal, no, no, no
The sun shines and I can't avoid the light
I think I'm holdin' on to life too tight
Ashes to ashes and dust to dust
Sometimes I feel like givin' up, yeah
I said, sometimes I feel like givin' up
'Cause me, I'm rusted and weathered
Barely holdin' together
I'm covered with skin that peels
And it just won't heal
I am rusted and weathered
Barely holdin' together
I'm covered with skin that peels
And it just won't heal
It just won't heal, no
The day reminds me of you
The night hides your truth
The earth is a voice
Speaking to you
Take all this pride
And leave it behind
'Cause one day it ends
One day we die
Believe what you will
That is your right
But I choose to win
I choose to fight, to fight
'Cause me I'm rusted and weathered
Barely holdin' together
I'm covered with skin that peels
And it just won't heal
I am rusted and weathered
Barely holdin' together
I'm covered with skin that peels
And It just won't
Covered with skin that peels
And it just won't
Covered with skin that peels
And it just won't heal

Goats And The Sheep

I can remember all the way back as far as kindergarten when certain kids in class were being mean to each other. Things like not wanting to share, I'm not your friend anymore or even stealing ect. ect. Then into first grade kids were starting to develop who they were and what they wanted to be and that sort of thing. But by second or third grade it was being popular, pretty or cool which in turn developes the "no count kids" or "outcasts " if you weren't selected to be in their kind of group. Of course you had to be invited into a group or start your own group. You know how it is because little has changed since then. Then started the age of the so called "pretty people" or "do you know who I am types" which pushed the "no counts" back even further into society to this very day.

By the time I was in eighth grade I experienced a suicide. A girl I knew was ridiculed everyday she went to school. Teased, harassed, and tormented, she felt the urge to no longer live and took her own life with a 22 rifle because of cruel, selfish, self seeking kids who thought it was fun to tease and beat up on kids. I can't even imagine what her parents felt but I'm sure it was a devastating heart crushing blow to their lives forever knowing how cruel kids tormented their only daughter and child into suicide.

Ok I'll make my point....This is still happening today not only in the schools but in our churches. Are not we supposed to bring comfort to one another in our church? Some people still want to play " I'm from Hollywood he he he" Or "my daddy owns a car lot" or what ever... If your not sure of this kind of behavior from your kids, find out. And if you are doing this yourself stop doing it now! I challenge you to reach out your hand to these so called "no counts" and show them compassion no matter what. Make them feel special and do what Jesus calls us to do. He's counting on us.

I'll end by saying this. I was talking to this lady at church and she told me her daughter didn't want to come to Sunday School anymore because of this type of behavior was happening to her. So she didn't make her come. Then when she came home from church her daughter asked her if anybody asked about her at church today. The day will come for all of us when the sheep and the goats will be divided folks...

Death and the Intermediate State

Death is decisive for destiny and the Bible does not teach that after death there is another possibility of salvation for the lost. After death, both the godly and the ungodly reap what they sowed in this world.
For Christians the final terror of physical death is abolished. Jesus, the risen Savior, Himself passed through a terrible death, enduring the anger of God. He takes us from God's anger, and He lives to help us as we leave this world for the place He has prepared in the next. As Christians we know that our forthcoming death is an appointment to meet with our Savior. Paul could say " For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Paul long to depart and to be with Christ, knowing that is far better.
To leave this world without Christ. In itself death is an enemy. I know a lot of non believers who are terrified of dying because of there unbelief and not willing to trust Christ.
At death the souls of believers are made perfect in holiness and enter into the worshiping life of heaven. In a word they are glorified. Knowing that to be "away from the body" is to be "at home with the Lord"
I believe that is true without a doubt in my mind. I can tell you that I had a cousin that passed away from lung cancer a while back. Her daughter told me that in her final minutes of her life barely breathing and gasping for air she she awoke from her state that she was in and said to her daughter "Josie how do I do it" and her daughter says "you reach out mom and take Jesus by the hand." Then her mother said with a peace that surpasses all understanding, "oh ok" she then reached out her arm and departed into the kingdom. I know the devil will tell you not to believe this but I also know the Lord is telling you that it's true.

Bullets

Walking around I hear the sound of the earth seeking relief..
I'm trying to find a reason to live..
But the mindless clutter my path..
Oh these thorns in my side..
oh these thorns in my side..
I know I have something free,
I have something so alive.
I think they shoot 'cause they want it,
I think they shoot 'cause they want it....
I THINK THEY SHOOT 'CAUSE THEY WANT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel forces all around me,
Come on raise your head!
Those who hide behind the shadows,
Live with all that's dead!
LOOK AT ME!!
LOOK AT ME!!!
LOOK AT ME!!!
At least look at me when you shoot a bullet through my head!
Through my head!
Through my head!
In my lifetime when I'm disgraced!
By Jealousy and lies!
I laugh aloud 'cause my life
Has gotten inside someone else's mind!
LOOK AT ME!!
LOOK AT ME!!
LOOK AT ME!!!
At least look at me when you shoot a bullet through my head!!
Through my head!!
Through my head!!!!.........................................................................{"aaaahh!!"}
Hey!
All I want is what's real!
Something I touch and can feel!
I'll hold it close and never let it go!
Said "Why . . . why do we live this life?
With all this hate inside?
"I'll give it away 'cause I don't want it no more!
Please.. help me find a place!
Somewhere far away, yes I'll go and you'll never see me again!!
LOOK AT ME!!!!
LOOK AT ME!!!!
At least look at me when you shoot a bullet through my head!!!
Through my head!!
Through my Head!!
LOOK AT ME!!!!
LOOK AT ME!!!
At least look at me when you shoot a bullet through my head!!!!...................
2x{"LOOK AT ME!!!"}

Agape-Love

OK... OK....Enough said at this time about anger and the fear of the Lord. I made my point and my point is to get you to get your concordances and Bibles out. I can tell some of you did and some of you even went a little further to find a commentary. The objective of this blog is to stir the pot a little and make you think. I like to say "if you don't ponder the Word your mind will fill up with earthly mush"
The word agape is Greek and it means love in the highest form. It is the very nature of God and the greatest in Christan virtues. This isn't the kind of love that one says "man I sure love ice cream" Without love the so called Christan is just a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
Love is patient, kind and does not envy or boast. It's not arrogant, rude or insist on its own way. It's not irritable or resentful and does not rejoice at wrong-doing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
God not only loves, He is love. Jesus Christ, His own Son is the unique object of His eternal love. Gods love is found in its supreme expression of self-sacrifice on Calvary and without that the world would be in extreme doom. God loves the world as a whole meaning the creatures, sinners and the saints. This is powerful stuff friends. Love is essential to mans relationship to God and man.
The Holy Spirit creates love in the believer. Also the Christan is commanded to love his enemy as well as his brother. It is the chief test of the Christan discipleship.....Yes I know some of you don't want to hear "love your enemy" but would you rather I write about the Lord's wrath instead!
We know that those who love God, all things work together for good. I don't understand it either but I know if the Holy Spirit wasn't working in me I couldn't love anybody including myself.

Psalms 103:8

The Psalm of David was beautifully written in Old Testament time and it still holds true to this very day. It also clearly states here that the Lord does get angry. It is one of many passages throughout the Old and New Testament that demonstrates His anger that will eventually bring out his wrath on the ungodly.

This passage in Hebrews 13:8 tells us this. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 10:26 also tells us what will happen to us if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of truth. Of course I would recommend you read this whole chapter to get the full meaning of what is being said here.

How can you preach the love of God if you don't leave room for repentance. I'm finding that more churches are preaching a happy slapply kind of message and don't want to offend anybody of what's about to become of their souls if they don't repent. Friend's you can't have revival without repentance, it's that simple. Proverbs 1:9 says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. Do we fear the Lord because of His love? Or do we fear the Lord because of His anger?

# 3. A Short Lesson Demons

This will be the end of these short lessons of knowledge and I'm hoping some of you found this to be useful. I know I learned a little myself.
Let me start by saying I believe were seeing more of a demonic presence in the world today with the steep rise in crime and a sharp decrease in morality. Put those two together and you'll have a small glimpse of hell of what's about to become.
Some people don't want to hear the truth about what is to become in the end of days ahead. They say "stop it preacher your scaring me or do you really believe all that stuff in the Bible.
If you line up just crime alone in America, that alone should cause alarm in one self's soul to take note. Crime alone in America is becoming more deviant than ever and people are excepting lies for the truth because it's more comforting for them. The Truth seems to be too uncomfortable for them for some reason. This just isn't a American problem, it's a world wide issue spreading like a swine flu epidemic.
Maybe Obama was right when he said the United States is no longer a Christan nation.
Others see the world as a playground where anything goes but that can't be further from the truth. The fact is it's a battleground where the Army of God does battle with evil everyday and it appears that Satan and his demons got God and His army in full retreat.
Could this be one of the explanations of the wheat and the tares. I know the devil has sown tares into the church too but I also believe it also extends itself into the world.
Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teaching of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose conscience are seared.
The fact is were playing the game of life and were going to deal with the issue of choice one day when our appointment comes to meet with the Almighty. Friend's were going to show up right on time, no not early, no not even late but right on time.

# 2. A Short Lesson on Demons

Continued from lesson one.

First of all I'd like to say I'm glad you made it back. Now let's get started!

Another thing I found out on demons is they as spirit personalities, demons have an intellectual nature through which they possess superhuman knowledge and features of shrewdness. They also know and bow to Jesus and describe him as "the Son of the Most High God". They obey Him and corrupt sound doctrine concealing the truth of Christ incarnate deity and sole savior hood. It's no wonder that Satan and his demons are having such a hay day down here being the prince of the ghetto or world.

The reason I write this kind of stuff is so you know how to fight your battles and win with victory. We have the power to do so but end up failing because we don't know how to harness it. I'll end with a familiar verse that I think most you will know.

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places

# 1. A Short Lesson on Demons

I've been reading a little about demons and how they can effect people and thought I'd share a few things like they are purely spiritual beings or personalities. They also can operate above the laws of natural realm and are invisible and incorporeal. However they may be glimpsed. That can makes a guy wonder did I really see what I think I might of saw. I also know that you can feel their presence. Have you ever sensed that a certain individual is dark? I know I have. I also sensed that a person has the light also.

Did you know that John in his apocalyptic vision saw the awful last- day eruption of locust-demons from the abyss. That's freaky! As well as the three hideous frog-like spirits that emanate from the satanic trinity in the Tribulation. The dragon, the beast and the false prophet. Woa...They are the ones that muster the world's armies to their predestined doom at Armageddon.

Ok Ok I don't want to overload you with too much to think about but wow I cant even imagine what that day is going to be like.

Judas Iscariot

One of the twelve disciples Jesus chose from the beginning of his ministry was a devil. Which means He knew who would betray Him. But chose not to reveal him until the Last Supper. Then Satan entered into Judas. Jesus dismissed him and Judas went out to do what he had already planned. He sold his sole for 30 pieces of silver and betrayed our Lord with a kiss.
The question I give to you friends is how much is Jesus worth to you. A hundred bucks, how about a thousand or maybe a million, a billion perhaps. He's giving you a chance to leave the ghetto land behind and join Him in Beulah Land and all you got to do is believe.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish , but have everlasting life.

The Love of Money

For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.

1 Timothy 6:10 is a verse that most of the world knows because it has been repeated so many times but they usually forget to put the love of money in and just use money as the root of all evil.

I asked a guy I know how much money he needs and his reply was just a little bit more. I also heard a man say once "money is like saltwater... the more you drink the thirstier you get." I must say I do get a little thirsty sometimes too for a little more pocket change myself.

Read down the scripture a little further and it pretty well sums it up.

6.
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7.
For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.
8.
But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.
9.
People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction.
10.
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

I added a new song to the player done by the O jays back in the 70's. Check it out.

Candyland Jesus

Candyland Jesus, Jackpot Jesus, Jailhouse Jesus or so on, the world seems to think that and so many other things about Jesus. Why? Well probably some of it has to do with tv and some tv evangelists. The faith prosperity movement seems to think you can give 20 bucks and somehow you'll receive 40 greenbacks back somehow and the only one that's winning is that church somehow. It might have to do with the way you live around others, at work perhaps and then Sunday morning comes around you say, gotta get on my Sunday best on.

Theres a song on my playlist called In America. Check it out

Six Things To Know

I wanted to post these verses to try and bring some of the readers up to date. Some of you already know these and others may not. Of course I will mention the Ten Commandments also in Exodus 20. I heard someone once say "the ten suggestions" Thank God for his Grace because were going to need a lot of it.

Proverbs 6:16
16.
These six things doth the LORD hate : yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17.
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18.
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19.
A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Is God a Angry God

Not too long ago I was talking to this lady while I was working and some how the subject came up about God. She told me she loves God and what he has done for her and she doesn't believe in a angry God.
I thought about what she said for awhile and thought why isn't God angry? All the lying, stealing, cheating, murder, abortion and so on. All for ones self gain. After all isn't that why we sin, for self gain? This world is very dark place and if you don't believe it, I guess your not in tune.
Isn't that why He comes back in the end is to save the elect?
Will the dam of grace break and the river of mercy be no more?

John 1:10
10.
He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.

My Own Prison

My Own Prison

Lyrics By Creed

A court is in session, a verdict is in

No appeal on the docket today Just my own sin

The walls are cold and pale The cage made of steel

Screams fill the room Alone I drop and kneel

Silence now the sound My breath the only motion around

Demons cluttering around My face showing no emotion

Shackled by my sentence Expecting no return

Here there is no penance My skin begins to burn

(And I said oh)

So I held my head up high

Hiding hate that burns inside

Which only fuels their selfish pride

(And I said oh)

We're all held captive Out from the sun

A sun that shines on only some

We the meek are all in one

I hear a thunder in the distance

See a vision of a cross

I feel the pain that was given

On that sad day of loss

A lion roars in the darkness

Only he holds the key

A light to free me from my burden

And grant me life eternally

Should have been dead On a Sunday morning

Banging my head

No time for mourning

Ain't got no time

(And I said oh)

So I held my head up high

Hiding hate that burns inside

Which only fuels their selfish pride

(And I said oh)

We're all held captive Out from the sun

A sun that shines on only some

We the meek are all in on

I cry out to God

Seeking only his decision

Gabriel stands and confirms I've created my own prison

I cry out to God Seeking only his decision

Gabriel stands and confirms I've created my own prison

(And I said oh)

So I held my head up high

Hiding hate that burns inside

Which only fuels their selfish pride

(And I said oh)

We're all held captive

Out from the sun A sun that shines on only some

We the meek are all in one

(And I said oh)

So I held my head up high

Hiding hate that burns inside

Which only fuels their selfish pride

(And I said oh)

We're all held captive

Out from the sun A sun that shines on only some

We the meek are all in one

Should've been dead on a Sunday morning banging my head

No time for mourning

Ain't got no time

Matthew 11:28

28
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
29.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

World of Confusion

Does darkness have power over us? Or do we just give in to it. How about demonic oppression today? Does that exist? Are we handed over to it by God or do we just simply invite demons to come live within? There are a lot of answers to these questions but what is the real honest truth behind them?
Even within the Christian realm you will find so many different answers among them. That is why there are so many different denominations.
My answer to these questions is to be searching the Bible on a daily basis and ask God to revel himself and maybe one by one your questions will be answered.

Dead Man Walking

Steppenwolf once sang the song "The Pusher" written by a guy named Hoyt Axton. In that song there's a phrase that says " You know I've seen a lot of people walkin' 'round with tombstones in their eyes.
Now I've always said for a very long time and taught my kids this too, "you don't have to die to be dead". You don't have to look far to see what I'm saying here friends.
Jesus says that no man can enter Heaven until they have been born again. The old man must die.

Creed

You didn't ask to be born into this world and neither did I, we had no choice who our parents would be or what country we would be handed over to. Having rich or poor parents or what race we'll be. ect. ect.
Were playing wheather we like it or not. Were in the game of where we'll spend eternity. HEAVEN OR HELL. That is... If Gods words are correct and if He don't exist who knows what does ? Anything goes...it's a free for all.
CREED.....Everybody has it. It's what you believe and it's going to determine how you will live. Live for yourself or for God. Do what you seem fit or do the will of God, you have a choice.
Think about it freinds. The choice is ours
